    Default Seriously...better video game music

    than chemical plant zone?

edit: if I posted this while wasted on natty ice then I must really dig the jazzy sound of this track from this great game. I am SURE it wouldn't be at the top of my favorite video game music but I must like it for me to concentrate on it while wasted.

lol. I'm pretty fond of Bubble Man's music, and more recently, Tornado Man's stage is awesome. Chemical Plant is damn good though. Not to mention, every single track in Snowboard Kids.

For Sonic games I'd have to go with Ice Cap Zone from Sonic 3. Castlevania and anything by Yuzo Koshiro pretty much owns all else for me though in terms of game music.

I was never really too fond of Sonic music for some reason except for on Sonic CD.

Original Japanese soundtrack or the US one? Honestly I feel the US soundtrack is loads better than the Japanese one.

As far as Sonic music goes I like these the most.

Star Light Zone - Sonic 1
    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RVAzxhh_cB8

    Marble Zone - Sonic 1
    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TdrQp2hA6NI

Flying Battery Zone Act 2 - Sonic & Knuckles
    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xm2mjHHVM8k

there are other good ones also but some of those i get tired of hearing after a few minutes

Punch Out training song. Just listen to it. I don't even consider this BGM, this is like a score from a movie.

When I was a kid, I would agree that Bubbleman stage was the greatest music in gaming. But lately, I've come to really love this:

Actraiser is a brilliant game, and the music is like a hybrid Castlevania.

I'm quite partial to these BGM's from Battle Garegga:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4kcTXUwViWM&fmt=18 (obviously an Underground Resistance fan, just listen to Jupiter Jazz)

I also tend to like most of Manabu Namiki's stuff in general, even if it's a bit samey.

I vastly prefer the Sonic 1 soundtrack to anything heard in its sequels.

Metal Man stage music. 15 replies and no mention?

Shinobi 3 has some great music, even though Yuzo isn't doing it.

And despite people hating the soundtrack, Bare Knuckle 3/SOR3 has a few choice tracks.

My fav Sonic music is the Character Select screen from Sonic 3.

    yarg.

A drunk post by yours truly turns into a thread filled with epic music links on youtube. I really liked garegg and that version of bloody tears for castlevania pales in comparison with the original imo. I know there have been tons of posts similar to this, but this one is cooking right along so lets hear everyones absolute favorites.

I like this track from the C64 version of Turrican more than anything from any of the 16-bit versions.
