    Default "Cloudy" PS1 Disc

I just got a PS1 game off of eBay that is, well, cloudy. It looks like a blob of fingerprints and grease. My hand can smudge through some of it, but water and Palmolive do zilch. How in the world do I clean this thing? I've ran into games like this in the wild and skipped buying because of this. The seller said nothing was wrong, though you never can be sure. :/

It might be disc polishing solution that wasn't cleaned off properly.

Is there anything I can do at this point if that's the case?

Don't use those crappy GameDr. things though.

See if a local shop has a professional resurfacer, so it can look like new after the polishing.

I've had games like this too. I've been told it's bit rot, but I don't know if that's the case or not, because I've seen REAL bit rot, and it doesn't look like that. The games I've had with this "cloudy" data side still work fine too.

It does work, at least what I've played so far. Looks like I'll go get it buffed-out by a professional machine. I like my stuff looking good.

    Thanks guys!
