Good to see some love for SMB2. Definitely one of my favorite NES games. Not sure about the "best", but still think this game is underrated.

I don't have a definitive list, but I'll throw out games that would usually appear in my top 10 NES games (no particular order):

1. Super Mario Bros. 2
2. Little Nemo: the Dream Master
3. Blades of Steel
4. Rescue Rangers
5. Tetris (2 player version)
6. Punch-Out! (though Super Punch-Out is a superior game...)
7. Super Mario Bros. 3
8. Dr. Mario
9. The Legend of Zelda
10. Hogan's Alley
