    Smile Wii-deal of the year?

Had a friend sell me his Wii-a few weeks back i was told he wanted to sell it for 100. I say, "hows about 50?" he needed the money (mainly for cigs), and boom-instant Wii. With Smash Bros Brawl and a GC controller to boot. So all in all, got a decent priced Wii for less than half of what it costs (i think). And no, this isnt fake. The console nickname is changed from "$200 Brick" to "$50 brick." Now im finally in this console generation (besides the DS Lite)! I wonder, has anyone else gotten a current gen system for real cheap? Like, a steal? I felt bad for a minute about it though lol.

Got a 60GB backwards compatible PS3 for $150 a week ago. Guy needed the money to make the rent, apparently.

Not a bad deal at all.

I hope you manage to play the Wii quite a bit...mine has been gathering dust for months due to lack of interest.

I really need to play some of the horror games I have...maybe that will chage things for me.

    That, and Kirby...

I'm telling you, a SD card and Homebrew Channel made my Wii a thousand times more useful and entertaining.

    This.

"Screw paying $8 for a copy of Mario 3 on VC, why not just get the cartridge for even less (for the legality reasons) and run it through FCE Ultra GX?" is the main reason I got HBC, alongside user-made games, loads and loads of emulators, a better media player, etc....

Yes. I have my Sandisk SD ready, ready for fun lol. And yes i play it everyday, mainly Mario Galaxy, 44 stars and counting, my favorite 3d Mario game. Mario Kart is another fun one with people to play with.

SMB3 is only $5 on VC dude...

I'm having trouble with homebrew though. I did put it on my Wii, but VBA-GX just crashes a few seconds in x_x

Are you sure you're using the newest version (2.2.2)? How did you install it, manually or using Homebrew Browser? If manual, you did something wrong. If Homebrew Browser, delete it then select to download it again. Make sure the browser is using the newest version as well (0.3.9).
