Default Anyone ever play Gotcha Force?

This game may have possibly been my favorite game on the gamecube. Over 200 different playable characters. Constant reason to replay the game. Quick to the point combat. I loved this game. I remember that my dad and I would alternate picking characters and when we died we would pass off the controller.

It seems to have gotten quite mediocre at best reviews on the professional sites, but from what I'm seeing, user reviews praise it highly. What do you guys think of this game?

I bought it a long time ago, but I don't remember playing it more than once. I also have the strategy guide. I believe it was comparable to Custom Robo, but I might be wrong. Kind of a hidden gem.
Currently catching up on PSN, WiiWare, Wii U E-Shop and Xbox Live Arcade exclusives I missed.

I did. Found it very repetitive. Also the voice overs made me want to smash my GC and there is no challenge whatsoever. Capcom definitely made this one for the Pokemon crowd.

The stages were a bit larger than Custom Robo stages and instead of collecting weaponry the player collects different fighters.
