Sonic CD "not for resale" disc questions......

I recently got a Sonic CD "not for resale" disc. Instead of having a blue front, it has a red one, and came in a paper jewel case the same size as a regular cd case. Is this worth anything? Was it a pack in? Is is rare? I am an avid Sega CD game collector with over 100 complete games and I have never seen this. If someone has info on this please let me know. Thanks, swlovinist

I may be wrong on this, but I'm pretty sure it was a Sega CDX pack-in title. That would explain the "Not for Resale" bit, of course. As an avid Sonic collector, I was pretty juiced to trade for one of these since I'd only seen one other before. However, I'm nearly positive that they're only uncommon at best and don't command any premium in value. Still spiffy, though.

Yep, CDX packin, and the CDX also came with Sega Classics 5-in-1 and... I forget the third packin. Came with three titles though.

BTW the third game in the CDX pack-in list is Ecco the Dolphin. Actually Ecco and the 5-in-1 are in the same folder (if you look at the "back" of the 5-in-1 you'd be looking at the "front" of Ecco, upside-down).

Thanks for the info, I will now place it on my shelf with my CDX. I have the sega classics 5 in 1, now all I need is Ecco and a Box!!!!

Isn't Ecco in the same package as the 5-in-1? Or are you missing the cardboard case that had them both in it?
