I bought the 4gb kinect bundle, Looking to buy a bigger hard drive, Found alot of 250's on Ebay. But alot are from Hong Kong, So any suggestions? Or are the ones from Hong Kong just the same?

When buying goods from Hong Kong, it's caveat emptor.
As much as I love stuff from Hong Kong, I would stay away from those, aside from the typical spurious quality of HK media, Microsoft typically puts digitally signed devices on the 360. If they know that it's not an authentic product they can probably disable it remotely. They've done that in the past with the old 360 and 3rd party replacement drives.Originally Posted by Gamingking

MS only has done that to memory cards so far, not hard drives. Unofficial 120/250 gig hard drives have so far been safe.
Your point still stands. It's a risk and MS one day could disable them.
If you're buying an item from Hong Kong and it is functional (i.e. non-decorative, not something like a book or an ornament) in any way, it WILL be a rip-off. Simple as.
If the item is non-functional, it will also be a rip-off, but it'll still look nice.
Is it possible to replace an HDD from an official HDD with another? In other words, open the case from the official HDD, replace with another HDD, and close the official case? Will it work?

About a week ago there was a dude on ebay selling(in bulk) the official Microsoft slim 250 gb hard drives(which sell in stores for $129) for $79.99 brand new. You might want to go that route first.

Yes, that's how all these unofficial hard drives are produced. Lower capacity hard drive casings (Such as 20 gigs) are bought and a larger one is installed inside the reused hard drive casing (Maybe some of the larger groups are actually having their own casings produced in China, but I've never heard of it). But the hard drive has to have the same contents as a legitimate 250gig hd, which means the unique registry number for that hard drive is going to appear on multiple hard drives.
Microsoft could easily decide they want to ban all duplicate hard drives. When you're one of 500 Xbox 360 owners online at the same time with what appears to Microsoft as the same hard drive, it's going to raise a red flag if they ever decide to combat it. You could easily find after some dashboard update that your hard drive no longer is working. It could even include a ban of your console since it's against the terms of service, although I think far too many innocent customers have bought these online without realizing it for Microsoft to go that far.
I'm betting they're not NIB Microsoft hard drives. From forums I visit that have discussed this in the past, people usually discover during such a deal when it arrives that they've actually acquired a hard drive casing with a replacement 250 gig hd inside if they examine things closely. You save some money and the product is just as good, but the risk is that someday, MS could disable that $80 "new" hard drive if they decide to just like they did with memory cards on the original line of 360's.

The hdds from hong kong are just hacked hdds,anyone can do this themselves with a simple program called hddhackr,which is what they use.
I don't know about that. The DC VGA adapter I got off ebay for $8 still works perfectly after 5 years. The N64/PS controller USB adapter I got from Hong Kong still works beautifully after 8 years (we won't mention the transparent plastic, two-tone purple and blue color scheme).
Still, the overall point is valid. I wouldn't go after those fake HD's with a ten foot pole.
