Game Rave Unearths...Game Rave Fanzine!

Hey all,

You can read the blah-blah's at http://www.game-rave.com , but long story short I have finally found all the pieces needed to re-contruct the fanzine years of Game-Rave, before I was the insane variant collecting PSX loving goober that I am today.

For those of you that thrived during the fanzine days, I toss my corner of that universe into the ring some 15 years too late. We were featured in Tips & Tricks, EGM, and after a year of print, were getting review copies of games from Namco, Konami, Titus, and more.

Sadly I never got to appreciate the other 'zines like Fantazine, Slap Dash, Control Freaks, etc as I had to duck out when I got my job at GameShark.

The first few issues were razor thin, but the magazine eventually blossomed into a monthly 40 page monster with too much content to manage. I'm hoping to scan in, reconstruct, and post the issues on a somewhat timely basis. Typos and all...my god...the typos.

Cool, I love seeing these kind of mags again. Glad you posted about it. Have you considered talking to one of the magazine preservation sites about it? Some of them would appreciate the chance to host any scans or reconstructions you decide to make.

Never thought about that actually. I think once I have more of them scanned in I'll see if there are any takers.

Hey Dangerboy, I just wanted to tell you that your Playstation website is fucking AMAZING! I love the highly detailed articles for each playstation game. You really go the extra 3 miles on each game too, including barcode #'s, box art scans, and version comparisons.

I think I just found my favorite psx website.

how often do you post new articles / Game reviews?

As soon as I can.

I actually have one new game page almost done, will probably do another one and then post those two. I don't have a set schedule, I just update it when I can.
