Default Chessmaster 4000 Turbo and Star Wars Rebel Assault II

Hello there people. I have a 2005 Windows XP Service Pack 3 Computer and I have 2 question about games mentioned on the topic name.

    1. Is there a way to run The Chessmaster 4000 Turbo on windows XP (Without using virtual PC or emulating Windows 95/9 . When ive attempted to open the setup, ive got the following error
Errror: SHADOW has caused a general protection fault in the module ~TMP3946.EXE... adress 0003:1092. SHADOW Will close

    2. I also try to run Star War Rebel Assault II: The Hidden Empire on my Windows XP from my The Lucasarts Archives Vol.II : Star Wars Collection cd set and when I attempt to run it I receive the following message: "The procedure entry point SUnMapLS_IP_EBP_12 could not be located in the dynamic link library KERNEL32.dll". Ive actually tried the following trick and It didn't work for me. The guy said that trick worked with every game that had that message error like Star Wars or Space Hulk

''Hello. It's possible to run it on XP by following these steps (full credit to Freddo and cef6 on the VOGONS website for providing this information).
NOTE: Do not leave your computer in the state described below for anything other than running "Space Hulk: Vengeance of the Blood Angels". You will have to re-enable the Direct X Directdraw acceleration after you've finished playing (this is explained below).

    1. With the CD in the drive, click on My Computer and right click on the drive icon, then select "Explore". Open the "HULKDATA" folder and then the "BIN" folder.

    2. Right click on HULKW95 and select "Create Shortcut", and then click "Yes" to place it on your desktop.

    3. Right click on the newly created shortcut on your desktop, select "Properties", and in the "Start in" box delete just the "HULKDATA\BIN" entry, leaving your drive name only (e.g. "F:\", or whatever letter your CD-ROM drive has).

    4. To disable the Directdraw acceleration: Open the Start menu, select "Run" and then type: "dxdiag" and click "OK". This will run the Direct X Diagnostic Tool. If you haven't run this before then you may see a dialog box about downloading something from Microsoft. What you select doesn't matter for these purposes.

    5. Click on the "Display" tab and select the "Disable" button next to where it says Directdraw acceleration. Select "OK" on the box that appears.

    7. In order to remind you to re-enable Directdraw acceleration after playing leave it running whilst playing the game.

    8. Double click on the desktop shortcut to load the game.

    Hope this helps.

    Bye.''

    Any idea?

I dunno anything about the first, but the second problem is one I'm very familiar with. I'm a bit of a Space Hulk fan, and I can CONFIRM that fix works....

...but not on all machines. That fix allows me to play Space Hulk on my older desktop [WinXP Home, 512MB, Pentium 4], but this very laptop [WinXP Media Center, 2GB, Centrino Duo] will not run the game, even with that fix. Not to burst your bubble any more, but I've still not found a way to get this machine to run that game, outside of a virtual machine perhaps.
