    Default Dungeon Keeper

Anyone remember this game? I remember my face was glued to the monitor back in the days

Talking about the original DK not DK2 (that's when they killed it)

Always wanted to play it, but never got a chance.

    I remember them hyping it.

The Overlords games remind me of it, though I can't compare the two.

Same here - I remember thinking the game looked cool when it came out, but I wasn't playing much on PC at the time and it just sort of slipped by.
If you can't do it with 8 bits, you don't need to do it!

Of course. This was no hidden gem of its time - if you were any kind of PC gamer around 1997, chances are you'd played it or at least had heard a good deal about it.

I've always been terrible at strategy games, but I remember having a lot of fun with this one, simply because of the concept, the humor, and other features. Actually one of the things I liked doing most was possessing one of my minions and exploring things in a first person view.

The game just had a great deal of charm to it. I'd definitely consider it a classic for PC gaming.

Ironically: There's a game coming out in the next month called "Dungeons" which is essentially a Dungeon Keeper clone. Early reviews are positive, but we shall see...

Dungeon Keeper 2 was a personal favourite, and I played the hell out of it. I probably re-install it every 2-3 years and replay through. Amazing game.
