Default Road Rash: The '70s and '80s

    Hi,

Would any of you Road Rashers want to see a version of Road Rash that focuses on the '70s and '80s in terms of not only the music but also the kind of cars and trucks we see?

Simply put, a couple of popular hard-rockin' songs from the era most deem to be "classic rock" (in terms of when FM radio stations first began using the term around 1983) are:
    1. "Born to Be Wild" - Steppenwolf (1968)
    2. "Light My Fire" - The Doors (1967)
    3. "Feel Like Makin' Love" - Bad Company (1974)
    4. "Love Hurts" - Nazareth (1975)
    5. "Tom Sawyer" - Rush (1981)
    6. "Fantasy" - Aldo Nova (1981)
    7. "Here I Go Again" - Whitesnake (1987)
    8. "Aqualung" - Jethro Tull (1971)
    9. "Frankenstein" - The Edgar Winter Group (1972)
    10. "We're an American Band" - Grand Funk (Railroad) (1973)

However, would any of you be interested in a Road Rash 1970s or 1980s-themed title that also included certain "progressive rock" songs? A few that define the genre are:
    1. "Supper's Ready" - Genesis (1972)
    2. "Karn Evil 9 Suite" - Emerson, Lake & Palmer (1973)
    3. "Shine on You Crazy Diamond Suite" - Pink Floyd (1975)
    4. "Magnum Opus" - Kansas (1976)
    5. "Tarkus" - Emerson, Lake & Palmer (1971)

The platforms for this would be: Sega Genesis, Sega CD, Sega Saturn, Sega Dreamcast, Sony PlayStation, Sony PlayStation II, 3DO.

Hell, I'd be happy with any new Road Rash game.

If the game was like Interstate '76, I would love to play it!
Oh, and I like the first list better. Rock 'n Roll Racing is a good example of what a good soundtrack can add to a game!

What kind of platform are we talking about, 2D or 3D? I have always wanted to see improved versions of the original Genesis engine, especially if the Sega CD game would actually use the Graphics Coprocessor.

I would also like the 3DO game or any of its ports to push that style further, especially at 60FPS. Either engine could have representative vehicles from the 70s and 80s, and obviously the music could change with it.

Either way I would go with instrumental versions of the songs only, or at least a choice for instrumental versions.

Come on man, you have six threads about adding classic rock to Road Rash.

Now, why don't you lie down and tell me about your mother...

I would say cars of the 60s were the best, hight of the muscle car era. Late 70's and 80's, car's got ugly. Camaros Firebirds, and Monte Carlos, really the only thing that look good in 70's and 80's

Be fair, man. I used to live in Milwaulkie, and this guy is about as normal as anyone out there.
