    I've never been to either...

I hear about Columbus all the time via where vendors are going/went and from my Mom...

Everyone, friends family, vendors say it's so big,so good to go to...My mom says that I would not last a minute in as I'd run into game vendor after game vendor..one after the other......
I'd be spent as soon as I got there as I understand..

That happens to me in Englishtown,I get to the first couple vendors and I'm spent/broke..

I decided to go flea market shopping today, ended up with almost nothing. For those of us in the Dallas/Fort Worth area, there's a flea market in Forest Hill (southeast Fort Worth) on the corner of Mansfield Highway and Shackleford Road. The bad thing about it? Nowhere to park. All the area is marked as tow-away zones and 'no parking' signs as far as the eye could see. I ended up not even getting out of my car. What was worse, the nearby barbecue place I wanted to stop at for lunch (voted #1 'Best Barbecue in the Dallas Area' by D Magazine is closed on Sundays, along with the Goodwill and their Computer Works stores a couple miles up the street. Dammit.

Went to the Treasure Island Flea Market in south Fort Worth, and found very few vendors there, but the few that did set up shop were all playing blaringly loud Mexican music, plus there was a live Mexican band with their amps turned up to 11, which makes me wonder why people who love shitty music need to play it as loud as possible, as if that will make it better. It seems to happen a lot, with all shit flavors/genres of music. I'd love to go to a barbecue place and not be beaten over the head with Country music.

All I bought today was Wabbit for the Atari 2600 from a Movie Trading Co. store. Sorry for the overly long description of essentially finding nothing, I wanted to vent a little.

That is a great flea market in Forest Hill. Pay the $3 across the street and park it is worth it.

Last time I was there I got a Nomad with cracked screen and Castlevania Bloodlines cart for $15 (bought a $3 screen on ebay and it is good and like new)

Passed on a $25 Dark Blue N64 with 2 controllers (had one but should have bought it)

I have gotten lots of good NES, SNES, and N64 stuff there before. There is another good one in Fort Worth i can tell you about if you pm me

I agree, Country music sucks. Friggin' Texans.

Oh, here's Videogamerdaryll's post. He's probably gonna brag about finding a Super Mario/Duck Hunt cart for a buck...

There was parking across the street? I didn't even notice. I tried parking on a parallel street behind it thinking there'd be more open spaces. I didn't know there was a lot open anywhere, I was just trying to cope with the slow moving traffic. Dammit part two.

Wow. I've read a lot of people that say there aren't any finds left to be had out in the wild. I think the February 2011 finds thread proves that to be untrue. What a month it's been!

    Sega Genesis (Model 2) - $18
    Sonic 2 and Columns - $2

Overall, a pretty good deal, even if the system is a VA1.8 with a sorta meh video encoder.

From various pawn shops and thrift stores, prices are approximate, like some ended in 99 but i'm just rounding up.

    Oil Panic Game & Watch - $5
Barbie Island Princess Wii - $4
    Left 4 Dead - $6
    Resident Evil 5 - $6
    Tiger Woods PGA Tour 11 - $11
Knights of the Old Republic PC - $4
    Crash Bandicoot - $3
    Tinkerbell DS - $8
Star Fox boxed no manual - $5
    Banjo Kazooie - $5
    Majora's Mask - $3
    Wario Land 3 - $2
    Super Mario Land - $2
    NES console only - $7
    Twisted Metal - $2
Empire Strikes Back Soundtrack - $3
    Dreamcast controllers x2 - $3 for both

Excellent day. The game and watch uses some weird watch battery that i don't have, hopefully it works.

Should be LR44, that's what other Game and Watches seem to use from my experience. It was a pretty common battery type at the time, I've seen a ton of stuff use that size including calculators and SLR cameras.

I did pick up some stuff today. 2 SNES/N64/Gamecube AV cables for $1.99 together, and 2 SNES controllers for $1.99 together. I still have to test them to make sure they work. Passed on a Sanyo Beta player as I didn't know if it worked and it was over $5, I won't risk it unless it's dirt cheap as I don't have the space to store this type of stuff anyway.

I ordered a Nintendo DSi XL last week...I thought it'd be here by now. Ah well, too early to panic yet. I guess it'll be one of my first March arrivals. I also ordered the first Are You Smarter Than a 5th Grader? game for the DS used for $7. That'll give me all 4 of the DS editions of that game.
