    Default Interesting. Sega slot machine.

I was just searching craigslist and came across this. http://youngstown.craigslist.org/clt/2174388910.html
I thought it would be interesting to share as I had no idea they actually made those type of games. Probably because I'm too young Just thought it would be something cool to share.

Last night I watched Tilt: The Battle to Save Pinball and it talked about how in the mid-90s Williams entered the slot machine business and by the late 90s, they were making more money on slot machines than they were with pinball machines. Anyone who's been in any casino recently would recognize Williams' machines: Reel 'em In, Jackpot Party, Filthy Rich, Monopoly, Top Gun, The Wizard of Oz and Star Trek.

But anyway, yeah -- Sega has slot machines on KLOV that go back to the 1950s (Link).

Where did you find these Sega machines? Are they in any Las Vegas casinos?
Wherever politics tries to be redemptive, it is promising too much. Where it wishes to do the work of God, it becomes not divine, but demonic.

I played this at a local Indian casino, but I'm sure you can find them in Vegas too. There is also a House of the Dead game, Jet Set Radio slot machine, as well as others.

Clearly, they need to make a hybrid of pinball and slots. Actually, isn't there at least one pinball game with a slot machine in it? make it give you tokens and there you go.

i know a pachinko machine stress's the definition of what is a pinball machine and a slot machine but from what i understand this works

earliest versions of pinball machines didn't have bumpers or anything.. you would put your nickle in and pull back the plunger and the ball would bounce around untill it went into a hole. kinda like how a pachinko machine works.
Slot machines work by dispensing a item of value when you win. Pachinko machines dispense these little balls that you can exchange for money (keep in mind gambling is illegal in japan. buttttt at almost all arcades outside theres a small kiosk where you can exchange these for money)
i think DP has a japanese regular member on here that can probably explain this alot better.. someone find him or her for me lol
