Guy's is legit. He did a great job with my Modded Genesis. Component looks sexy on it.

Yes. I have a different attachment cable that will connect to a cdx or an x'eye. It doesn't connect to the genesis 2 because the connector is too large it fit through the hole on the back of the system.

I can do internal s-video or component through the break-out box.

That's cool. I have an x'eye too. Maybe when I get some extra cash I'll pick one up.

    Whoa, $40 for a Genny S-Video mod? That's not a bad price...

Do you also install a signal booster? I have a lot of issues recording stuff off the Genesis because the video signal is all weird.

shadowkn55 did a video mod on my NES toploader and his work is fantastic and affordable. When I get some extra money I intend to have my Atari 2600 modded next.

There is an amp involved to get proper s-video out of a genesis. That's probably the closest you'll get to a signal booster.

Agh. See, this is all I get. I managed to "fix" this by using a VCR to boost the signal, loop that back into my video selector, and that went to the capture card... but that's a pain in the ass. And it's not even that good looking.. :\

I remember hearing that someone had figured out a way to do this...

Would it be possible to mod a top-loading NES for RGB output? I recently picked up a Euro SCART-Component converter and would like to try getting RGB out of my NES if possible.

duo_r is correct. It's doable but you need to acquire an rgb ppu from a playchoice board.

shadowkn55 modded my Intellivision 1 for composite video + stereo audio & modded my SMS 1 for S-video + stereo audio.

He did quick, clean work, and he was courteous & professional.

The Intellivision picture quality didn't turn out stunning, but my Intellivision doesn't put out great video even with the stock coax AV cord, so I think the problem was in the Intellivision itself. The composite video certainly looks noticeably better than the coax cable video.

    Thanks,
    -Jason

Edit: he also modded my PS2 to play imports & CD-Rs. Quick, polite, reasonable price, friendly. Thanks!
