    First finds of March:

The 2 boxed games were $1 a piece, found randomly at a church sale. Yes that's Maniac Mansion for IBM PC and compatibles (3.5") , CIB. Ninja Gaiden has the dreaded seal of Hi-Tech Expressions so I think it may be a pretty terrible port.

The N64 games (Ms. Pac-Man, Command and Conquer, and Diddy Kong Racing) were $2 a piece. They have annoying "2"s written on their labels in marker. I'll have to try one of the marker-removing methods suggested here. They were found at a garage sale this morning.

But he would not give me his user ID,even after I said I'd be interested in bidding/buying...
You should find him by his items if you can (look for games you know he's bought and narrow your search to local auctions) and then throw it in his face. What a turd -- why wouldn't he give you his ID?

I remember buying both those games at retail on the same night. I think I still have my boxed Maniac Mansion around here somewhere though so I know it's not some strange reunion. Looking up the door lock codes in that Xeroxed manual was a pain in the ass.

From the local chain game store:

    Krazy Kreatures (NES): $5
    Karate Champ (NES): $1
    E-SWAT (Genesis): $3

This place is usually so overpriced, but they always have Genesis games for really cheap. SNES games are rarely that price unless they are sports games.

They had an EarthBound loose for $100. I love the game, but not that much.

How much do you think those PC games are worth?

I had a factory sealed copy of that Ninja Gaiden pc game that I got from EB several years ago when they were clearancing them out for 99 cents. I remember I couldn't get any bids when I listed it for $30 and then $20 for a couple months. Finally I just started the bidding at $9.99 and it ended for a little over $70. Of course that was probably just a fluke.

Blah I didn't realize Radiant Historia was out. I'm so behind on releases for the year already. Prinny 2, Tactics Ogre, Hyperdimension Neptunia...and now Radiant Historia. Heck, I still need P3P and Valkyria Chronicles II yet!

I had to stop by a Best Buy out of the way from me to pick up an item my local one didn't have and right next to it was a St Vincent dePaul thrift. I decided to stop in and as soon as I walked in, I remembered why I don't frequent thrifts. The store was in severe disarray and everything felt/looked dirty. I'm not a clean freak by any stretch of the imagination but it felt like the stuff on the shelves was recovered from a dumpster instead of donated (or if you will...it was donated from a dumpster ) I left empty handed but I did spy CIB copies of Pokemon Soul Silver they wanted $25 for and a NHL hockey game by Sega for the Saturn I already had (no idea on price).

I stopped into several GS stores that were in the area and a Blockbuster store that was closing down but none of them had anything worthwhile. At one of the GS stores I saw the signage for Pokemon Black and White and saw the Celebi download ended on Sunday (today!). I came back to the house, grabbed my DS and my copy of Diamond and went back up to my local GS. Turned it on, got my Mystery Gift, and now I have Celebi and that was the only find for me on Saturday.

We're supposed to head up to the local flea today so we'll see what we happen upon.

In fact, this game wasn't even listed in inventory at the local Gamestop; it was like it just appeared on their shelf overnight.

    - Hyperdimension Neptunia [Premium Edition] (PS3. New): $60

Even though I couldn't stand Compile Heart's previous release (Trinity Universe), videos I saw online of this one made this look like it was going to be a lot better. So far, it's much better; the story is pretty good and the combat feels more refined (It doesn't feel as mindless as TriUni, which I like). I took a expensive gamble on this title, and it's paid off.
You actually like this game? The story is retarded and filled with puns, dialogue is terrible and only exists for fanservice, game is slow moving and generic. I played about an hour and couldn't stand it. Oh well, at least I sold the playing cards for $50 on ebay.

    Swap Meet Finds:

Green Leapster w/ Pet Pals, Cars, I Spy - $13
    NES w/ 2 controllers, Super Mario Bros 3 - $10
Knights of the Old Republic 2 No Manual - $10
Zombies Ate My Neighbors SNES cart only - $6
Alex Kidd in Miracle World SMS cart only - $1
Spyro The Dragon PS1 disc only - $5
    Metal Gear Solid 3 Subsistence - $5
    Culdcept PS2 - $5
    Dark Cloud 2 disc only - $5

Yeah, I was going to say Ninja Gaiden isn't worth much. I just got it for the sake of buying a cool old PC game. Maniac Mansion on the other hand is worth a little.

At the flea market today, not really worth pics. A random booth had a lot of Atari and NES commons as well as a few N64 and SNES, but most were ones I already had and of little value (or worthless sports games). They were cheap ($1 and $2 a piece) so I got a few I wanted.

Street Fighter 2 Alpha (SNES), Midway Arcade Treasures (N64), Rad Racer II (NES), and Three Stooges (NES) all for $5.

The copy of Three Stooges is to replace my copy with a bad label, and Rad Racer II is new to the collection. Yes, for some odd reason I care that my copy of Three Stooges had a messed up end label.

    From Goodwill:
Xbox Metal Gear Solid 2 Substance-$5.99
PS1 XS Jr. League Football & Street Racquetball-$1.99 each
    N64 Super Mario 64-$2.99

    From a pawn shop:
    Dreamcast Capcom Taisen Fan Disc
Sega Mega CD Wonder Dog, sealed
    PS1 Brave Prove

They were in a pile of other random PS1 games. The associate asked the boss how much the old PlayStation games were, and the boss replied $1 each. The Capcom Taisen Fan Disc still has an invoice from Game Express tucked inside.

I had planned to hit a big flea market today but the rain killed that..

So I hit a small local indoor flea market, maybe 15 vendors in total..

Broken power supply port SNES system $5.00

I also went to see a friend vendor of mine who had some controllers to give me.(bags of them).
DK country,I am to try and do a battery swap..

I also got some other stuff to sell for him,we split the profits.
    Some/Sealed Records..

Then I ran into another friend flea hunter who showed me his find..(in his car

He picked up around 40-50 NES games in sleeves for..(in great condition)
..............$10.00.. from as I understand he said a Charity Event.
Anyway I fell over at the find.
Around 10 black box titles such as Wrecking Crew,Balloon Fight etc.
    Super Mario 1,2,3..
Gold Carts obscure titels with the switch in the back, such as Big Nose the Caveman (Nintendo) Nintendo NES video game..
    DR Mario,Yoshi Story,Yoshi's Cookie.,Caveman Games,Crusty,Bart Simpston,Flintstones-I think the harder to find one.
Then many of the rest were very uncommon to me games,Clown something..
Games I never see in the wild..

Looking through these games made my day it was very enjoyable..

Digging through stuff today/making a complete game.

I thought New Jersey was weird already. Do you NEED a magazine to prove it?

the magazine has been around for over a decade.

it also spawned off into a series of books (which i own quite a few) that talk about weirdness all over the US (including England too!)

i love stuff like this. hearing folk lore and ghost stories and weird attractions and things that go bump in the night!

The guys who run the company of Weird NJ along with Weird US and i guess now Weird World had a very short lived TV series on History Channel (sadly) called "Weird US" was around in 2006 i think maybe 2007

Just found this yesterday at a local thrift store: Super Noah's Ark 3D by Wisdom Tree for the SNES in all its unofficial goodness. $1 USD. I about crapped myself.

Er, maybe not literally pants-filling, but close. My rarest SNES game by far and a very satisfying purchase for a measly buck! Also grabbed about a dozen NES games, several unlicensed (like "Pyramid", the bizarre Tetris clone).
