    Default Japan Bidding Service Help.

    Hi All,

I know this questions will be asked alot, just wondering if someone has a reliable bidding service for yahoo jp, a friend or mate, etc.. i need to replace some items ive lost due to the earthquake in christchurch NZ, a few of my figures have dropped and broken, so now need to try and replace then and yahoo jp seems the only option. could use celga and rinkya but rinkya is very expensive, celga not so bad, was hoping there was a more personalised service .. i did have a contact before but with teh recent Japan EQ im not sure they are in a position to help.

Anyways if you think you have a safe reliable person, happy to use paypal and buy the odd item now and then, then drop me a PM thanks

Gaijinpunch from http://shmups.system11.org/index.php might be able to help you out! He's hooked me up with everything from a NTSC-J 360 to a PSP and several games.

Just a guess here... but this might not be the best time to buy from from Japan.

He's presently not in Japan right now so he cannot be of much help for an extended period of time.

I realize the TA would like to rebuild their collection but I think Japan would like to rebuild their country meaning I don't think now is a good time to rush and deal with middlemen services. I'd say wait a few months for things to settle down - get back to normal then proceed.
    Whaddya mean invalid parameters?!

Yeah, I heard. Shame as there's a few Famicom title I'd REALLY like him to proxy for me.

And actually, it's not really a bad time to buy games from Japan. Most sellers I've talked to are desperate to keep selling games. I imagine it's because they fear that foreigners will stay away from importing from Japan now, while in theory it's still safe. JGS, for example, ships from Osaka and there are no problem there.

Also, in terms of a possible financial downfall, a low-valued yen would still be worth more than a boxed Super Famicom game.

That's a good point. Online shops are still selling. Most websites state that they can ship anywhere in Japan other than areas in Tohoku. I would imagine that sells who ship abroad that are based in western Japan would still ship.
