Smile Retron 3 out, NES and Genesis in

I just wanted to let everyone how awesome today was.

    Not to long ago, I went online and bought a Retron 3 ver 2.0, if you don't know, it's a pretty nice clone system that does NES, SNES and Genesis. It's pretty cool but it has some flaws like;

Not all games are not compatible ( Damn it! NES Rolling Thunder doesn't work and Klax is all sshhaakkyy )
It smells of cheap plastic ( like a new shower curtain, I washed it and it still stinks, ugh )
NES color palette is way off ( adjusted with tint on TV, can't get it right - sigh )
NES sound in slightly off ( My ears don't lie )
Sega genesis sound mixing is ugly ( I can't hear the music on Super hang on it's drowned out by bad audio mixing )
Laughably mis-matched controller labels ( Genesis and NES are WRONG! )
And the SNES audio is WAY TO LOUD, fuzzy too. ( Sounds blown out )

    phew!

With this said, it's has been great dipping back into some awesome games on each of the systems and the retron3 does do the basics. But slowly the issues started to eat at me and I needed the real deal. So I decided to just use the Retron until I found some good deals on the original systems.

    Today was that day.

I won Model 1 Genesis "High Def Graphics" on ebay with 13 games with boxes for $32, plus $18 ship. Awesome deal for $50

    Arnold Palmers Tournament Gold
Sonic the Hedgehog 1 and 2
    Columns
    Ms. Pac-Man
    Hardball
    James Pond
    Pat Riley's Basketball
Castle of Illusion starring Mickey Mouse
    Altered Beast
    Batman
    Strider
    Shadow Dancer

    and

Today while slumming at the Goodwill ( careful, they tend to overprice ), I found a NES in pretty good shape for $20 ( hadn't turned yellow ). Of course, I had to hunt down the controllers and power supply in separate bins, but when all said and done it was $27 ( and it works! )

That's all, I always like hear about awesome deals that people find.

I found a Genesis model 1 in the box and complete with everything in plastic, etc for $20 about 5 years ago

I don't know why people bother with these clones when there are plenty of the real deal available both on and offline.

All I ever hear about are the compatibility issues, sound issues, how cheap they look/feel, etc.

    To OP:
Not a bad deal, especially considering it included Castle of Illusion, Batman & Strider. I've been trying to find Sunsoft's Batman myself for a while to see how it stacked up to the NES version.
oFF-TOPIC, I bought Return of the Joker a couple years back and promptly re-sold it... what a crap-fest that game was. :P

Whoops, After a little St. Patrick's day beer, I missed the Retron and Finder subsections.
