I have a little more work to do, trim the "lines" a little bit more and electrical tape the board.

It looks pretty good,a hell of a lot better than mine.
would look better if you just broke the tabs off the inside of SNES
Just need to tape it now.
Yeah, I could have cut the tabs of a SNES but where is the fun in that?

Death to Bill and Ted!
Am I the only one confused as hell over these posts?
If you have a Jap SNES and want to play US games on it I get why you made this and I get why the Pro Action Replay would work.
But…
People bring up popping the tabs off of a US SNES and you agree with them, then why hack the Game Genie all up? All you would need to do is remove the flip gate IIRC it pops right off. Maybe you have both systems IDK but like stated above with the lack of the outside pins you won’t be able to play some games so if you do have both systems I say go with the US (and the tab pop) so all games will play.
I digress, back on topic yea that looks about as good as it gets with a dremel that’s why I try to keep the work with a dremel on the inside as much as possible and I use sandpaper and/or hand files for the outside work.
I basically did it because I have a Super Famicom and 2 Game Genies, and I got bored.

Wow talk about failure I messed up the Game Genie board. It loads the Game Genie GUI ok but fails to load a game.

just open it up, its like 4 phillips screws, grab a toothbrush and contact cleaner and scrub the connections. polish the end that goes in the SNES with metal polish and wipe her clean with the q-tip/alcohol method and try it again.
On a side note: am I the only one who hates seeing all these game genies being used and hacked up to make them into something they weren't? its part of the nintoaster mod. this guy is doing something for somethings sake with them. i think of the other collectors who don't have one that could have one. i think of all the "stack ups" and "gyromites" that have been turned into Famicom connectors. perhaps its just me.
I think the idea of this is to play US games on a Super Famicom.
SFC (and PAL, I guess) carts are narrower than US carts (so while I don't have an SFC, I'd guess the cart slot is narrower as well, so a US cart won't fit in an SFC slot)
Though using a Game Genie does have the downside that you can't play games that use the expansion pins.
Do you have to use the case? Just use the board itself and you should be good. stick a pen cap or something in the cart slot to steady it. No mangled plastic involved.
