The sad thing is there are people out there who will think he is making an intelligent video and might even actually be a "hardcore" gamer.

And an iphone or an ipad is not "cheaper out of the gate". Plus you have to keep paying (sometimes upwards of $100 per month!) to keep them activated.
Really, you can't compare a PSP or a DS to a smart phone. Regardless of what people keep saying, the phones and tablets are not designed for gaming. I try to play stuff like Gun Bros on my Android phone, and without some buttons for proprioceptive purposes, it's just impossible to control.
Plus, what this douchebag didn't take into account is that there are going to be people like Nintendo, Konami, and Capcom developing software for this. These are some of the best game makers in the known world. Angry Birds is fun in small doses, but it's nothing like Ocarina of Time or Metal Gear Solid. I'd say that the difference between these types of games is so great that they're really intended for two completely separate audiences.
Sorry, I'm in a bad mood today and I just need something to rail against.
Oh my God! They actually let that go out on TV and/or the web? Don't they have fact checkers? That's CNN, they're supposed to be the #1 name in news. WTF?

For the intended audience, I didn't think he was so horrible until he got to the part where he commented on the 3DS using cartridges and coming with a stylus. Which we haven't seen since the PalmPilot days. Nevermind about the Nintendo DS, I suppose.
We apparently haven't seen cartridges since the gameboy either...

but I feel like he limited himself and signified how unqualified he was as soon as he said, and I'm not directly quoting, the part about how the graphics might be decent enough to appeal to people who grew up on halo. He straight up admits that he is a graphics whore.
seriously, I'm 22, he doesn't look too much younger than me. I grew up on SMB, SMB3, TMNT, and Bart Vs. The World (the NES games I recall playing the most). Did this "hardcore" gamer seriously start gaming in the last 9 years?

This guy is a fucking jackass, and there's a lot of 'em out there covering games. The bad part is jack offs like this cover games for the mainstream and generally suck. Ugh, this sucks. Did I mention this sucks?
