    Default NES Door Variants

I recently acquired an NES that has "NOA" stamped on the inside of the lid and the best I can tell it belongs there. However, I have not seen this stamp before and was wondering how common it is. Does anyone else have this on their door?

I have seen it a few times. Seems kind of rare to me but not worth paying any more for.

I have never seen one of these...wonder the story behind it? Replacement part from Nintendo?

I've got 8 NES decks and none of them have this stamp. I've never seen one in the wild either. hmmm.

Not an April Fools joke. If I were to do such a thing it would at least have some degree of awesomeness to it.

Anyone else have some information on this?

I have two Nintendo consoles, and there may possibly be three floating around my house. The door is broken off the one, whereas the other has the stamp on its door.

While trying to organize 129 GiB of haphazardly organized data, I came across my NES door picture and remembered this thread. I was wondering if anyone had any more information on the stamp, particularly anything definitive as to its origins.

also what kind of labels does it have, doe sit have any plain labels or does it have a red Mario 1-800 label on it?

It has the regular silver labels and I saw no jumper wires, oddly placed chips or different solder. However, there is marker on the mobo which would seem to indicate that it was sent in for repair.

Yeah, I was thinking it was due to Nintendo of America literally giving their stamp of approval to the NES after having repaired it.
