Sonic Generations (was "Sonic teaser")

Have any of you guys seen the new Sonic teaser video yet? If not, here's something to possibly get excited about... OLD SONIC!

I wrote about the trailer just a bit ago (I'll share a link if you are interested) but I'm curious what you guys think about it? Looks to be coming to Xbox 360 and PS3 (no Wii) later this year (no official date but "Coming 2011").

Yeah, the Wii has Sonic Colors as an exclusive, but this is Sonic's 20th anniversary game we're talking about!

Sega needs to stick with something and work at it. Trailer seems cool, but I have said that before. I don't understand how new sonic and old sonic in one game makes sense, but hey whatever. It couldn't get worse right?

Last I heard they were working on Episode 2 and they were still progressing, that was only a few weeks ago iirc.

Trailer looks good, I love the model and animation of the Classic Sonic model. When see what the game is like and so on then I'll maybe get excited.

Sonic 4, episode 2 is coming. While this trailer doesn't reveal much in terms of gameplay, as long as Sega continues and refines what the day stages in Unleashed started I'll be happy.

Sega, please continue to focus on Sonic only! No one gives a fuck about his stupid friends in this main adventures.

And Sonic 4 was absolutely terrible, they should kill it anyway, the idea of it being episodic plus the terrible physics just makes it not fun to play.

Just because it didn't play exactly like the Genny versions doesn't mean it was terrible. I dug the graphics, soundtrack and gameplay and think it's a worth addition to any Sonic fan's library. It can't stand up to the Rush series, but it's solid enough.

Right now all we have is this video, an approximate release date (summer or fall of 2011), the early leak from last year that this is supposed to be a modernization of the best Mega Drive/Genesis era stages in an engine much like Sonic Unleashed/Colors, and the title "Sonic Generations." So let the rampant though justified speculation begin!

I suppose that Sonic might travel back in time to work with his younger self to help avert some calamity, and that the game acts as a bridge between Sonic old-school and Sonic new-school. Perhaps the game has the game-play of Colors, but with no story and the option to pick-your-Sonic.

All I know is that I'm still waiting on the official announcement of the Sonic 3DS game. We collectively know there is one, just no details have surfaced. Might be a port or another version of "Generations," might be something else entirely.

I would laugh if they gave classic Sonic good physics, and modern Sonic bad physics as usual, and then he dies because of it and only the classic Sonic can make it past the obstacle that requires good physics to pass. Everybody thought he was an imposter. Maybe it's true.

I thought it was actually kind of hard to tell the two models apart, really. Classic Sonic has black pupils and more of an eyebrow ridge.

I loved the classic Sonic model! We need a game with just him in

Daytime Unleashed levels and Sonic Colours were good. There is hope for this.
