Unfortunately, a number of PSP games came in that cheap looking shrinkwrap. In fact, the newest Ghost Recon game currently in stores is sealed in it. EA also released several games in it. I don't know specifically about Virtua Tennis 3. The best way to tell is to check Ebay auctions for sealed copies that use real pictures. Generally, it's not like the DS where some copies of the same game are Y Fold and some aren't. Typically, if the game was released in the shrinkwrap, all the copies would be like that. It could also be a Canadian copy which they open to put a new insert and instructions in and then resealed. Looking at the two copies on Ebay right now, both appear to be Y Fold. As such, I think you may have gotten a reseal.

I cannot recall specific titles, but I certainly remember getting in shipments of both PSP and DS games that had non-Y fold shrink wrap when I worked at GS. I remember being bewildered at seeing brand new release titles with the chintzy looking shrink wrap on them instead of the more professional looking Y fold wrap.

Some Canadian releases do this because the French/English manuals have been added later.

I have a few last gen games(Farcry on Xbox and Silent Hill 4 on PS2) where they added a Canadian esque French manual on top of the Y fold factory seal and then shrink wrapped that to the normal factory seal. More companies should utilize that method or atleast try to pack them in all at once before given them the proper Y fold factory seal.

Yeah....a few of em seem to have just opened the sealed cases, added the manuals and/or inserts, and then resealed em with the crap seals. I've seen it done both ways.

Sony stopped that policy towards the end third of the PS2 run (first game I can remember that didn't have that sticker was Metal Slug Anthology). Anything that comes out for a Sony system has no sticker on it anymore, and no PSP game has ever had a seal sticker on it. Even when GQD was reprinting Persona and Rhapsody those copies were no longer required to have the seal stickers when Sony did the reprint.
Because it makes no attempt to be great, it is therefore extremely great.

I have bought "factory sealed" games with the strip on top for the ps2, but without the plastic around them, only to find out the person somehow took the strip off, and saved it, then put it back on later. So that method is possible to fake it imo, and I would rather just have the y-fold seal and call it good.

I've had this too on about 3 ps2 games, but the Canadian manual was on the backside, not the front. You meant the front side right?

Every copy of Scarface Money. Power. Respect. that I've seen has always been looked like a reseal.
Everything in the above post is opinion unless stated otherwise.

No, I meant exactly as you described. I said they were on top because technically it was placed on top of an already factory sealed game. But the manuals were actually placed on the back of the game case and then shrinkwrapped to it. Best Buy sold certain games like this for awhile and thats where I got my copy of Silent Hill 4.
