Default A question about N64 Lodgenet systems

Are the Nintendo Lodgenet systems built-in to the television sets? I was wondering because I came across a thrift that has probably ten TVs with Nintendo Lodgenet controller holders attached on their tops, and the TVs have what look like a phone plug in back (I remember the N64 Lodgenet controllers having a phone style plug) in addition to the standard connectors. I was curious if the gaming hardware was inside. I'm not a Nintendo collector, but it makes me want to crack one open to see what's in there.

No, the system is not built into the TV at all. The phone jack is how the hotel manages your channels and locks you out of the AV jacks.
