    Default Wiki-style price guide

    Hello Board,

I know that we have the digitalpress online rarity guide, but has anyone setup a wiki-style video game price guide? Since games fluctuate price frequently it would be great to have a resource that is user updated that gives the going rates of games. Just thought I'd contribute to the thought process. Anyone know of any sites like this or anyone have any other ideas?

Neat idea, but you'd have to be careful that it was well moderated, or edited only by those who really know what they're talking about. I guess wikipedia would have the same issues, but DP doesn't have the same number of users to keep on top of articles.

Maybe a addition form for games not listed on the rarity guide or form for modifying price and rarity would be a good idea. There is a thread on here, but I don't think it's very effective.

I know I have seen wiki-style sites that you have to be registered to change listings. Since we don't have a video game "beckett" anymore (remembering "Video Game Collector"), we need something ever changing, but I know that no one person would want to do it by themselves or monitor a site alone.

Funny, I'm actually working on a site with this kind of price traking in mind, though slightly more thorough than just a wiki. At this point it probably won't be up and running for a good while though (at least a year) - progress is very slow and I don't know if everyone involved is truely up to task to handle its ambitious nature. And, if someone beats me to the punch, so be it.
