New Mortal Kombat DLC question

I've noticed that on eBay a lot of people are selling MK DLC content like comstumes and fatalities ie: http://cgi.ebay.ca/PS3-Mortal-Kombat...DLVI%26ps%3D63

I was under the impression that all these alternate costumes and stuff can be unlocked in the game by beating it a bunch of times and whatnot. Is that true? Or can these items only be unlocked via the special over-priced codes?

Nope. The costumes and fatalities for the retail exclusive classic characters cannot be unlocked just by playing. The only way to get them now is to have the codes from each retailer. Given past practice, these will be for sale for a few bucks as DLC in the coming months.

Yea I am thinking of selling my Scorpion code for $20-$30 because I know it will be $10 in a few months.

Might as well make some extra cash...
