NHL 2003 windows media player 9 problem

Hello there, I have a problem with NHL 2003. When I run it on my windows 7 or on my virtual XP computer, two thing happen

Windows 7 : I can see the title screen but no button but the exit button work
XP Virtual: The game Crash

Windows 7: Windows Media Player 11
XP: Windows Media Player 9

I tried EVERTYHING
Compatibility (Don't Work)
regsvr32 msdxm.ocx (As useless as compatibility)
Reinstalling

NBA Live 06 and Need for Speed Carbon work very well on the Virtual XP (VMWARE WORKSTATION)

Any Idea?

This probably won't work, but try hitting alt and tab at the same time on your to go back to the desktop, and then press alt and tab again to go back to the game. Its works in some circumstances when games have corruptions in their menus.
