Default About the PS2 ver. SCPH-79000...

Do you guys know if there're any known issues with this model? Like, are there any old PS1 games that won't run on it etc.?

Also, this is a JP model, which apparently runs on DC 8.5V / 4.5A. Do you think I can I use my PAL power adapter with it, which outputs 8.5V / 5.65A?

    Thanks!

dont know about compatibility, most likely all JP games will work since its a JP system. US and Euro games will NOT work...... DO NOT use a PAL region adapter on an NTSC console, not sure exactly why but its a bad idea. Others will probably chime in about that.

I'm asking because I read somewhere that some newer (can't remember which) PS2 models have issues with some PS1 games. Chrono Cross was one of them :/

I'm actually using a PAL region GameCube power adapter with my JP GameCube I guess it depends on the console.
