Which kind is it? Is it the one with the mushroom head or flat?

I see these things go for wildly varied prices. Just do auction style on ebay and get what its worth.

How do you know that $20 is obviously low? I know someone local who found one for $1 at a thrift store, if I'm remembering right he listed it on ebay with a starting bid at $1 and didn't get a single bid on it. I'd have to ask him again what happened to it, I'm pretty sure there wasn't any interest when he tried to sell it a few months back.
I can't see these being too valuable as they're completely useless now, they're just display items these days. I wouldn't pay $10 for one and the Genesis is my favourite system.
This is the second one I have owned, aside from the boxed one in my collection. Prices have been up and down on these in the past. Our own show(PRGE) have seen these(only one) sell in the past for $30, but that was years ago. They dont appear all too often, and I am well aware that they are a mantle piece.

I'd say, as an example, if you got an offer for $50, you take it like a bat out of hell. Genesis prices are generally low, genesis oddball stuff doesn't really push the bar value-wise. $50 would be absolute high side. I have a mushroom head variety myself and I can't imagine getting more than that.
Thank you for the advice. Probably going to offer it at the Seattle Retrogaming Expo with a price Tag of $30.00. If it does not sell there, then I am going to offer it on these forums first. It is a mantle piece, but a nice looking mantle piece.

would look nice, wouldn't mind having one just for the sake of having one but wouldn't pay more then $4usd for one
Ended up selling it with a marked price of $30.00. Lasted approximately 30 min on the table.
