$249 and $299. The Vita is going to give the 3DS some serious competition.

Uncharted 3 looked amazing. PS Vita and Uncharted on that loosk great. These will all be day one buys for me. Ruin for the PS Vita looked really good so I'll probably end up getting that as well.

There was also a really good looking game at the end of the PS Vita montage that looked really good too. A beat em up. I don't really like beat em ups much, but this looked fairly good. I could be mistaken what I was watching though since again it was a montage.

Seriously. Sony had the best E3. They had a few crappy parts like NBA 2k12, but other than that a really solid E3. I also liked how instead of giving a lot of third parties the entire time, they chose just a couple, and then for EA they just listed all the games because EA already shown their conference.
Everything in the above post is opinion unless stated otherwise.

And no Syphon Filter, either a new PS3 version or an HD bundle of older titles. That dissappoints me. All in all I found it to be a pretty boring 2 hours. There was no big surprises or wow moments. Now onto Nintendo's conference tomorrow.

I was actually impressed with the Kinect games they showed, especially Star Wars. I like how the guy picked up the space ship by raising his hand, Yoda style.

Bioware should be proud. Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery.

Star Trek has always been a "Me too!", 2nd-tier franchise. Why would the video games be any different?

Microsoft's keynote did not interest me, but that's how it goes every year. Shooters, sports, and kids games. Star Wars Kinect looks like it's for the younger generation. Not sure how I feel about the man who did Day of the Tentacle and Full Throttle handling Sesame Street... TV on 360 might be neat, but I'm bothered that they've redone their interface *again*. Once I finish Blue Dragon and Infinite Undiscovery, I don't think there's anything left for me to bother with on their platform.

Sony's keynote is, as always, what I expect from an E3 keynote. Still not great, but better. Dust 514 looks interesting, as does Starhawk, but I wouldn't pre-order either. Street Fighter X Tekken sounded neat before, but now that I see it, meh. Still looking forward to Ico collection, but I think my excitement for Sony's announcements ends there.

The 24" TV bundle at $499 strikes me as a ripoff. If I were going to buy a 3D display that small, I'd get a 3D computer monitor. If you're sitting at a desk, it sounds perfect, but I don't think it's going to sell very well outside of the college dorm demographic. For $499, you can get a pretty decent non-3D TV or a heck of a nice desktop monitor. If Sony can put out a 3D monitor aimed at PS3 owners for $299, it might make sense.

The Vita looks like a nice piece of hardware, and it's priced right. Nintendo has a lot of room for price drops on the 3DS, and I would be surprised if it's still over $180 this holiday season. If Nintendo doesn't get a killer app for the platform or give it a competitive price, the Vita wins this handheld generation. Or at least, the Vita wins what's left after tablets and alternative devices eat the market. It needs games, though, I haven't seen anything I'd be remotely interested in.

So far, Microsoft fails, Sony barely passes. It looks like Nintendo has to step in and win E3. Again.

    Here's my Sony recap:

Uncharted 3, shooter, gray shooter, 3D TV!, shooter, shooter with move, brown shooter, shooter, shooter, vita!, shooters on vita!

    Oh yeah I forgot NBA!

But Vita @ $250 tells me Sony serious want to go toe-to-toe with 3DS. Christmas '11 will an interesting time for handheld lovers.

EVERYTHING was a shooter, so underwhelmed right now. Hopefully NINTENDO pulls through and announced non shooting games.

My take away from the Microsoft conference:

With the power of Kinect, you can turn your Xbox into the OnRailsBox.

The only Kinect game I liked was Star Wars. Everything else seemed like it was made for kids.

As previous peeps have said, that PSV price point is going to give the 3DS some serious competition. I'm guessing Nintendo are wishing they hadn't priced it intentionally so high. Still, the 3DS software and 6 month lead is bound to help.

It amuses me that the 5th playstation hardware release (counting different iterations of the same console as the same) has the acronym of PSV.

Just seen the Tomb Raider trailer. I never really cared for the series but damn that was a nice trailer! If the gameplay holds up I may just jump on board.

I'm loving that Rayman: Origins has a Tetris themed (at least partly) level! Think I may have to pick that up in the future.

Considerably better than anything shown at any press conference thus far, except for Uncharted 3.

    Vita $250 MSRP - betterthanexpected.jpg
Nothing but FPS games - FUUUUUUUUUUuuuuuu!

Somebody better get their game shit straight, and soon. Otherwise, I'm pretty much completely out of current gaming for a while. 'The Cafe' better deliver.

If the Cafe delivers the same library as the Wii (first person titles, good, 99% of everything else, shit), then it may be the first Nintendo system I don't get at launch since the SNES.

Nothing terribly "thrilling" from either camp so far.

TV service on XBL seems like a good feature, but I'll need more info on what it offers above/beyond the massive cable package I already subscribe to + Netflix + my various web enabled set-top boxes (read: probably not much).

Where Kinect offerings are concerned - I'm still sadly prevented from even becoming a part of the Kinect ownership crowd based on the fact that my living room doesn't permit the appropriate/proper space for functionality.

So even if I WANTED to jump around with that, I'll have to stick with my Wiimotes and Move wands that don't require a 6-foot range and no giant coffee tables in the way of the gaming space.

As a Move owner I'm glad to see that Sony is continuing to support it and 3rd parties are involved in furthering the cause. It's excellent motion controller technology, so there's no need to cut the cord on it anytime soon.

Vita looks pretty fantastic all-around (though that home menu screen with the apps in bubbles may need to go at some point) and it has a great price point. I'm in day one for that. Standard Wi-Fi version is fine for me.

Looking forward to whatever Nintendo has to offer. They have plenty of room to upstage, so let us see where they go!

Vita looks good, BioShock Infinite looks awesome (love the art style and atmosphere), and the concept behind that TV is awesome. Two players on the same TV without splitting the screen in half? That's an amazing concept for a gaming TV.

Vita has the same launch price as the PSP did. They can get away with it this time thanks to Nintendo wanting $250 for the 3DS. So far, Vita looks better in every way bar not being 3D.
