I got a decent sized library that I've barely touched and plenty more games I'd like to eventually pick up, so there's enough on PSP to keep me busy for many years to come.

Same here. Crisis Core, Star Ocean, and Phantasy Star Portable should keep me busy until something interesting is announced for the Vita.

I've had my PSP from day one and whilst it's not seen as much use as many of my other consoles, I've still got a healthy collection of games for it and will still be using it even after I get my Vita... on day one. And let's be honest here, six years ain't a bad run.

The PSP is/was a fantastic platform. It's not like Sony is leaving PSP users in the lurch. I don't understand the rage here. Just buy a Vita and be done with it.

Will the PSone games I bought on PSN to play on my PSP still work on Vita?

I don't see why not, especially if purchased PSP downloads transfer.

Seriously, when 2007 came, I was grabbing good GameCube games for $5-$15. I'd recommend the same for a great system like PSP.
    This, exactly.

To be honest, I don't care about the future, at all. All that matters is that PSP has games I want RIGHT NOW, and that is in no way, shape or form going to be nullified by Sony releasing a new portable.

I'm interested in what the Vita has to offer but I'm not bothered by the fact it's not going to be BC with the current PSP games, at least not physically.

As for "now what" regarding the PSP? Beta and Edmond have the right idea. I've got a laundry list of PSP games I still want to play/acquire and most of my recent purchases have been for the PSP. The only thing that concerns me about the Vita launching is the availability of PSP games in stores that I want. Most places will be stocked with NOS and GH games that I either already have or don't want. Given how GS regards older systems once a new one comes out, I may have to scour their stores for titles because I know before too long, they'll start discarding the clamshell cases and dumping the UMDs in a display case.

Thank you. I apologize for my rant. Didn't mean to stir up the kettle. But to me it's very hard to keep up with everything. I hope I didn't upset anyone, a lot of people made some very good valid points. I am calm, I am relaxed.lol I do want to thank everyone who responded. It's just that I get very frustrated at times with some new anouncements. It's just some of us who live on fixed incomes kinda feel left out or ignored at times. Again, sorry.
