Default Miles Edgeworth sequel not being released in North America

It seems there's a sequel to that Miles Edgeworth DS game but there's no plans to release it outside of Japan. Kind of sad, I guess they want to focus on the 3DS instead. Hopefully they'll still release other games in the series in the west, so far there hasn't been any confirmation about that Phoenix Wright/Professor Layton crossover. I couldn't find another thread on this so I don't think it was posted here before.

I was hoping this was just rampant speculation, but is appears not to be so: according to http://www.capcom-unity.com/ask_capc...m=25#491976593 , they don't think the cost of localization would be offset by sales as Okamiden already eclipsed the first Ace Attorney Investigations in terms of units sold.

This is just awful. However, reading between the lines of what Capcom's Sven said, I think what he/they are planning is to split the game into sections (by chapter) and then sell them piecemeal through the DSiWare service, just like they did on the Wii with the earlier Ace Attorney games. Or at least, I hope they decide to go that route.

After all, selling in low-priced parts or even as a full-priced whole on a downloadable service is still leagues cheaper than the initial cost of manufacturing game cartridges.

Wow, this fucking sucks! I've played through the entire PW series with the exception of Apollo Justice, and I am REALLY disappointed that they're not going to release Miles Edgeworth 2 here, as I've heartily enjoyed playing all of them, one of the best handheld series of all time IMHO. At least give it us through DSiWare or something!

    Capcom, I am disappointed!

And of course, they're no longer region free like the older ones. Really sucks.
