Help figure out what Atari game this is?

OK kids, hopefully an easy one for you. I mentioned my game collecting habit to a girl, and she actually perked up and asked me this:

"Oh my gosh, you don't have the old Atari game with the little alien you've got to get into the mother ship that hovers over top, then asteroids come out from the top, left and right, faster and faster that you have to shoot? I don't remember the name of it, I just remember entire afternoons as a kid playing it. "
