Yes, it's quite obvious actually. The Wii text is rotated 90 degrees.

Weren't there a few Wii games that required GameCube controllers? I recall some "Active Life Challenge" thing that came with a floor mat that used the GCN controller plug. I'm guessing that one doesn't work on the new Wii...

That, and all the DDR games.

Though, let's be honest, with 40 million systems already out there, finding a Wii that is BC isn't exactly going to be an impossible task.

What is the point. 98% of the units are sold to people who do not even know what " hacking a console" means. They just plug it in when the grandchildren come of the play bowling with Paw,Paw and Maw, Maw.

90 million systems already out there, actually.

I probably should have purchased one when bc drop was announced, but might do so now before you can't find a new bc model. Not entirely sure if I will purchase it or wait for the Wii U since I still own a Gamecube, but I might.
If it comes with NSMB Wii, then it's the newer model.
You can tell them apart by looking at the picture of the console.
The new model has all of the text horizontal because it's not meant to stand vertically.
