Last month I got some bad news, someone had initiated a credit card chargeback on a game I had sold them. I didn't really get much information but Paypal asked me to submit tracking information on the item (which they already had of course.) I did and yesterday the waiting game was finally over. As I read the first two sentences of the result, I was not happy:
"We have completed our investigation. After reviewing the details of this case, we have determined that it is unlikely that we will be able to successfully dispute this chargeback."
However, the last sentence blew me away:
"This matter has been resolved and no funds were debited from your account for this chargeback."
Really? This is the first time I can ever remember that Paypal actually came through for me as a seller. They usually screw me over even as a buyer. Well I guess I'll take this one as an early Christmas gift, and I won't be expecting it to happen again.
