For those games it usually depends if english or japan costs less.

    Kirby Super Star
    Mega Man X / X2 / X3
    Yoshi's Island

    maybe Twinbee Rainbow Bell Adventure?

there's all sorts of import friendly stuff like tetris type games, etc, way too many choices to dig into.

Rockman & Forte was one of my first imports, and the Super Famicom version beats the hell out of the GBA port.

I guess there is something to be said about playing that without savestates. Not a feat for everyone...

This dude has reviews for some import platformers you may enjoy.

Two that I recommend (he does too) are Do-Re-Mi Fantasy & Hamelin no Violin Hiki. Those are awesome.

It's surely not cheap, but Umihara Kawase is amazing. Haven't personally played it myself yet, but I've seen it played several times. Instead of describing it, it's best if you see gameplay for yourself to understand what it is.

Funny, FoxNtd, I was about the recommend the same game. I haven't played an official version either, (its a bit expensive), but it is high up on my want list. You wanna see some game footage? You gotta check out this review by JewWario. It tells you everything you need to know:
    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tiPIi...el_video_title

Check out his channel for other SF games you can enjoy without knowing Japanese. He goes into other systems, but that is basically what his channel is about and everything he does is really well-done.

I'm super excited for the Hypaboy too. I got to monkey with a prototype of one, and although there are a few things that could be improved, it is mostly awesome. Below I'm going to list my SF want list. Most are fighters, (and I don't know if I'll ever get even half of these games), but if you are feeling really bored, maybe you can look into these listed here. This is just what I have added to the list over the years, anything I heard about that looked interesting or whatnot. The only two original SF games I have are DBZ: Hyper Dimension, (excellent fighter and I don't even like DBZ), and Super Bomberman 3. Check it out:

    Barayarou
    Battle Tycoon
    Doremi Fantasy
    Ghost Chaser Densei
    Gourmet Sentai Bara Yarou
    Gundam Wing Endless Dual
    Macross Scrambled Valkarie
    Nichibutsu Arcade Classics
    Ossu!!! Karate-bu
    Parodious Da!
    Shonen Ashibe, Goma-chan
    Unihara Kawase Syun (Shun)
    Tenchi Wo Karau

    Hope this helps,
    Chris

Ooh, that dude who runs RVGFANATIC is super cool! Ahem...

Thanks for citing my site as a link suggestion there. Yes, DoReMi Fantasy and Hamelin no Violin Hiki are top-notch, especially the former IMO.

Super Famicom received some nice exclusives! enjoy.

Tenchi wo Kurau? On the Super Famicom? That's a strategy game, good luck figuring out what the hell you're doing if you're not proficient in Japanese.
