Only one system comes to mind and that's the RCA Studio II. All of my many other game systems I enjoy turning on and playing from time to time.

I'm with you on the controllers, I even hated the Wico sticks. I didn't want to pay for a Masterplay Interface either. But wasn't Space Dungeon an exclusive?

Space Dungeon and Countermeasure are the only 'true' exclusives... Meteorites could be called exclusive, but it's really just Asteroids

I was lucky to get a masterplay interface in a lot I picked up for cheap!

I haven't played a Memorex VIS, but I don't think there is one "game" on there with any amount of enjoyment!!

Although, not a true exclusive, Pitfall II has a 2nd level only available on the 5200, and 400/800 computer systems. Pitfall II is the best reason to own the Atari 5200.

I thought the Atari Jaguar was utter garbarge back in the 90's, though a friend who owned one tried his best to convince me otherwise.

I still think the Jaguar is a turd of a console.

I don't know that I would never play it again but the N64 comes close here.

I don't like the controller and I find the visual style of the N64 to be unappealing. Although I know its a technically more advanced system then the Saturn or PS1 I actually prefer the 3D that those systems put out. I always felt like N64 games just looked bad and felt like the majority of them ran at significantly low frame rates, or at least the games I've been exposed to.

Although their are certainly a lot of systems I have no interest in spending money to pick up or acquire a library of games, I can't think of any I outright would never play given the opportunity.

I struggle with early polygons and such too, but it's not enough to make me fully disregard anything. I can't really enjoy first and second generation consoles because of the limitations personally but I didn't want to disregard entire generations.

I'd love to see more games get the remakes similar to the current HD remakes or Resident Evil Remake. A lot of the fifth generation games did not age well graphically. Trying to play the first Silent Hill game almost hurts my eyes.

That and the 7800. I'd rather join the polar bear swim club than play those again.

I don't think Mario64 looks much better than anything else, honestly.

I don't get owning something if you don't like it.
I don't either (in most instances), but I don't think he was asking specifically what consoles people owned that they never want to touch again, just what system do you have no desire to play again. I've played a few of those 1st generation Pong types games, and I don't really care if I ever do again.

    A steaming turd.

What really killed the possibility of any affections I might have had developing for that system was the wretched animation of the soldiers in Aliens Vs. Predator. 64-bits and that was the best that it could do?? I swear, man, it was like two frames of animation for a soldier walking. I returned the game and I don't think I ever bought another Jaguar game.

I think the cartoonish graphics for Mario 64 are relatively unshitty as far as N64 polygon crap graphics are concerned. Since the game is stylized (i.e. not trying to look realistic) I think it has aged alright. Graphics aside, I think the game is just fun, which is way more than I can say for the majority of N64 games that I don't remotely enjoy. Back in the day, I loved James Bond and Perfect Dark, but today the crude graphics are so difficult to get over. Kinda sad, really. Even with my complaints about the graphics, I just never played many N64 games that I thought were worth a damn.

Hmmm... I just remembered I haven't played my copy of Pilotwings 64 that I picked up for like a $1 at the flea market about three months ago. Could this be worth my time...?

A low opinion of the Jaguar is one thing, but just so we're clear, the poor animation you speak of in AVP isn't the fault of the console. It's not like the Jaguar itself is cleaving out frames of animation or something, they just weren't there to begin with. It's not hard to find games that are visually underwhelming for "64-bits" in the Jaguar library but it's definitely a case of developers being without the time or proper resources to really take advantage of the hardware.

I played this over at a friend's house, and despite the fun I had with Twisted, I really didn't care much for the system, and I don't feel like I am missing out by not playing it.

Kinda shocked by all the dislike on the Atari consoles. But hey that's openion's for you. Everyone has one...

I really can't think of a single system I've played that I just don't ever want to play again. There is a game on every one of them that I like.

However, now that I've repurchased a couple N64 games on my Wii, I don't ever need to play the system again to enjoy those select titles. So N64. It remains the one system I dumped along with all the games.

(obviously I did regret selling a few of them)

No, I had the game and I don't think so.

I'll go with the N64, Dreamcast, and Game Gear. I'm going to try playing Shenmue more and see if I like it, but so far with what I've played it just seems ok. When you have a 10 minute conversation in the game it takes about 5 hours of game time away from you, I'd prefer if the real time was actually real time. That's the only game I was interested in getting for the Dreamcast and it's not really grabbing my attention well.

Shenmue is a waste of time and overrated.

You can have a ton of fun by visiting edgeemu.net and picking up these SHUMP for the DC.
