I was on Ebay looking at Sega CD games, and they had a game called Dungeon Explorer. I saw that it was from Hudson, I think. Was this ported over from the TG-16?

Yes.
It is a sequel. It has far more RPG elements to it than the straight out action of the Tg16 game.

Guess I'm gonna need to play through my copy. I've had it for years but I've never got around to playing it. I've always thought they were the same.
Actually...
I just remembered there was a TurboDuo DE:II.. it might be the same as the Sega CD version...

DEII was the title I used to use in college to show up my Duo to people in my dorm... none of which had ever seen a Duo and all were like "whoa, wtf is that, damn that's cool".
Seeking display quality copy of I Want My Mommy for the 2600... if you have one, PM me, I will pay/trade well.
No....the Sega CD Dungeon Explorer and the Duo Dungeon Explorer 2 are not the same game at all. The Duo one will also run you around $100
The Sega CD version of Dungeon Explorer is different than either TG16/Duo version. It's a separate game in the same style.

Can you tell if it was made by the same developers?Originally Posted by maxlords

Made by the same people....it's all made by Hudson but hte Sega CD one isn't a port of anything...separate game in the series.
