Wow, that is impressive and you have all the UK exclusive games too. This is one tough system to find all the games for. As the owner of a complete Tapwave Zodiac collection I know that these lesser known handhelds are rare. Good luck!

Sorry, but I can't afford to buy it. But, I must ask, what is Gizmondo? What about it brings such a high price tag?

Why does all the best stuff pop up right after I decide not to purchase anything else this year?!

I have interest, but no money.

And I'd be interested, except there's only one game I need.

I'm going completely off memory on a subject I very little about (no interest) so anyone feel to poke holes or tear all this to shreds.

There was 2(?) models of the handheld, one was more expensive obviously but I'm not sure what warranted it, bigger screen etc but I believe neither was really that cheap to begin with and it sold terribly with very few units shipped/sold (making it rare). Also as I remeber and wiki says one of the executives was linked to the "organized crime" (mafia iirc) but I doubt that had any effect.

Basically I think what it boils down to is: It's rare, It's hard to get a complete set much less some of the singles.

There also seems to be plenty of info on the wiki page so read up about it.

there were two kinds of gizmondo consoles... "smartadds" and "regular"... the regular one was never released to my knowledge. the smartadds console was offered at a lower price but you had to deal with a set number of advertisements that were sent to the gizmondo everyday. i don't think the ads part of the deal ever got off the ground. the smartadds consoles are identical to the proposed regular ones and you don't have to deal with any ads as the service is lomg dead.

this one i'm trying to sell is an american version with the proper american charger... a lot of the ones you see on ebay (and there are only loose units with no battery on ebay as of this writing) have the different uk charger.

it's hard to peg a price down... hence the "OBO"

Is the "demo card" you have the Kiosk Demo card? I have heard these are next to impossible to find so you may want to highlight that.

BTW, I have seen another Gizmondo that is all black and doesn't have any of the chrome parts on the top and sides but those may have been demo units or some such other limited release. If I could come into some money soon this would be at the top of my list to buy. Someone please get this and remove the temptation!
