    Default links awakening- color dungeon on 3DS

    I am playing links awakening that i downloaded on my 3ds

    I am unable to get to the color dungeon.

    I get the book and the pattern to move the graves but
    when i try to move the 5th one, it says i need courage to
    move the stone. what am i doing wrong?

    My guess is they haven't patched the game so it allows you to do it on non-GBC hardware.

    No no, that's not it. It has something to do with in-game requirements. You have to have completed up to the 6th dungeon first IIRC. The Color Dungeon grants Link a Red or Blue tunic that acts as permanent Piece of Power or Guardian Acorn. It makes link overpowered, so Nintendo tried to even that by not letting you do it too early in the game.

    I'm not sure but I think you only have to get through the Key Cavern (3rd Dungeon) in order to get into the Color Dungeon. Worked fine on my 3DS.

    Do you have the ghost, Bow-Wow (Chain Chomp), or Marin following you? If any of them are with you, the stone will not move.

    If you know what order to push the tombstones in, the dungeon can be accessed and completed as soon as you complete Bottle Grotto (2nd dungeon) and return Bow-Wow to Madame Meow-Meow.
