    Default Original Gameboy D-Pad help?

Right, so my friend gave me one of his Gameboy's because he had two of them. It works like a dream, but there's only one problem. The D-Pad is VERY loose. It works, but it's very irritating. Can someone tell/refer me to a way of fixing this? Much thanks.

You'll probably have to open the system up to see what the issue is. Usually a simple re-seating is all it needs.

it may need a new plunger pad... not a big deal to replace as well... i've got a ton of them... i'd give one up for the price of shipping, just to help a brother out...

My GameBoy Pocket suffers the same thing. I just learned to live with it over the years. Like VertigoProcess said, it might just need a new plunger pad. Though I don't know how it could have worn out, our SNES and PSX controller plunger pads have lasted the years.

i've come across some that are completely worn to shreds and some that are still mint... the original gameboy has been out for what, 20+ years now? plenty of time for a well played gameboy to ware it out.
