    Default WTB: SNES to SFC Adapter and 62 to 72 pin that will work in a top loader.

    I'm in need of 2 things and ebay is failing me or I'm failing to find them on ebay.

    I need an adapter that will allow SNES games to fit into a SFC system. I found every other adapter possible but not this one. I know it has to exist right?

    I also need a 62 to 72 pin adapter (not hard to find) that will work in a US top loader (which seems to be a BIG sticking point for some reason?).

    So, any help with either?

    Some will work both ways, you have to watch out for one with all the pins on the bottom and top of the adapter, these are compatible with all US and Japanese games.

    I have one with all the pins that is confirmed working on a Super Famicom and Super Famicom JR. I would not let it go cheap though...

    Not cheap meaning? If the things are expensive and hard to find I can always just buy a SNES for 30 bucks and go that way.

    I keep a couple adapters around because I like using my Super Famicom JR. I really dislike the look of the SNES. Yes, you can find a SNES cheap locally, I would go that route.

    I assume you have not actually tried one, I have one of those, they require power, they will not work on a Super Famicom without modifying the power cable or using batteries to power the unit, here's a post I posted over at FamicomWorld;

    Tried it on a Super Famicom, and Super Famicom JR. and it works, however the unit requires a Super Nintendo power cord to plug into the back of the unit, then there's a power cable that comes out of the unit that you connect to your Super Nintendo, so if you are using a Super Fami you need to take care of that, either by replacing the connectors or I guess you could use batteries instead, didn't try it though

    Street Fighter Alpha worked, Super Gameboy, Donkey Kong Country, Wild Trax FX, etc.

    Starfox did not work, that's one of the only FX games that uses the clock signal available on one of the extra connectors available on the Super Nes cart connector so it may have something to do with that, although all the lines are connected internally...

    Overall it's not bad if you are using it as an adapter, although bulky.

    1:1 pin adapters are very difficult to find. Even though (to my knowledge) 100% of standard retail Nintendo-licensed US/Japan/Korea cartridges and console models are inter-operable in any combination. I'm not aware of a single compatibility issue worth noting.

    Most SNES adapters are intended for NTSC games on PAL units. Likely due to how many popular titles Europeans missed on.
