Jan 2012 Atari 2600 Competition: SeaQuest
As the winner (i.e. only contestant) of last month's Pitfall! competition, I am selecting SeaQuest by Activision for this month's Atari 2600 Competition. Difficulty B (Novice) is the setting and the original hardware or a console or PC CD-Rom anthology version is also acceptable. Out of respect for those playing on the original Atari, no pause is allowed if you use an emulated version.

I know people want some fun to be had on forums.. Photographer forums like one i am on they do photography competitions where they give you a idea of what to shoot.
So why not friendly video game comps here on the video game forum?
I'd like to participate, since I have the Activision Hits compilation on the PSP. I guess that we must take a pic of the high score?

Over on AA pics arent required, it was the honor system. If we need pics I cant play.

i made the rule of pics so some random dude didn't pop up and go "yo dude i just got a score of 1 bazillion therefore i win"
and they have to take a picture of the tv screen instead of say a screen shot kinda thing. it makes it a lil harder to photoshop.
Therefore everyones on a level playing field.
Personally, I think it's perfect. Too much nitpicking over this has happened already. Thanks for this 'port'

I came close to the current high score, but not quite enough to beat it...
After many attempts, here we go. Here's the new high score to beat: 138,030.
One of my favorites at the very least, Sunnyvale42... Hey? What happened to the 420 at the end of your name, Sunnyvale? Anyway... Yeah, I love SeaQuest dearly, and I look forward to pushing myself to new heights to beat Lady Jaye's 138,030.Great score, by the way, Lady Jaye. That game gets insanely tough after 100,000, doesn't it?

Yeah, it does. However, you can also score a lot of points really quickly if you manage to rescue a full set of divers. One thing's for sure: those subs can be a pain when they move in a group!
