Default FMV to buy a boxed Game Boy Micro

I'm considering trading off my small but quality DS collection and getting a Game Boy Micro instead. If I'm going to bother I want to get one CIB though, so I'm interested what a fair price would be to get one. I recently got a PSP and it has reminded me about how I was never really able to get into the DS games, I've had one for 5 years but spent the majority of the time playing GBA games and not DS games.

$75-$400 depending on the color. The Famicom style seems to be about $100, Mother 3 at $400, the 2 launch colors $75. I say if the link cable and lack of backwards compatibility doesn't bother you it is well worth that much especially If you want to play RPGs or other text heavy games due to the bright and sharp screen.

Have you considered a GBA SP instead? Bigger screen, better controls, clamshell design protects the screen etc.
Try and get one w/ the option to increase the backlight level.

I'd love one of the green ones honestly but I'd prefer a JP one over a European version (nothing against Europe but I'm just a US/JP collector type of guy). Sadly, nobody from Japan seems to be selling any of Japanese ones on eBay. I'd love the Final Fantasy IV version but I'm certain it's well out of my price range.

Yes I am mainly an RPG player but other genres aren't beyond my interest. I have a Super Game Boy to play original GB games and I don't currently own any GBC-only titles.

The main reason why I'm interested in a Micro instead of a SP is 1) Having to use a headphone adapter is actually a pretty big downside in my opinion, and 2) Despite having a smaller screen and overall size I believe I would prefer the shape of the Micro over the SP.

You won't be disappointed the screen may be about a quarter of the size but it is the same resolution. Despite the minor short comings the micro is the by far the best Game Boy ever made. It is also the only one made from metal rather than plastic.
