What PS1 game is this? please help.

Hi all,
ok well here's the thing... back in the ps1 days an friend of mine used to get these ps1 demo discs on the mail and he sometimes would let me borrow them. well anyways in one of the demo discs there was this really fun game that I used to play. now I was very young back then and the demo disc and friend are long gone so there is no way I can possibly remember what the game is called so I am hoping someone might be able to help me out with finding this elusive ps1 game.

ok now my memory is a little bad but the game is like a tournament game, 4 players I think (that might be something to go by since it was a ps1 game), I remember you got to choose different warriors/mages and they each had a different elemental ability and spells (fire, ice, water, ect, ect), it was kind of like a fighting game but it you had top view of the field. I guess you can say it was like the psn/xbla battle tanks game from today but instead of tanks you had warrior/mages doing spells.

now im horrible at giving descriptions but ill be here if you guys need any more info ill try to give more of it, like i said it was a very long time ago and I dont remember much but ill try my best.
also if it helps I think that demo of the game im talking about also had the final fantasy 7 demo on the same disc aswell. dont know the issue though.

i was almost going to say it might be that wu tang fighting game until you said top down view, now im at a blank, anyway, i have every single official playstation magazine demo disc ever made for ps1 and if you remember the demo disc i can check for you right now, unless it was the playstation underground demo discs, then its a totally different thing i cant do jack shit for you

Hmmm... the only games coming to mind for me are either The Unholy War or Cardinal Syn; but I think those were both only 2 players.

hi, i just checked for you and as far as i can tell from the earlier copies, ff7 wasnt a playable demo on any of them (i was just reading the game names on disc didnt actually play them to see if they had more) but the opm wiki says ff7 was on the cover of the very first issue, can you remember any other games that were on that same disc?

thanks for checking, another game I remember being on the disc? hmmm I might have to think about it a bit. as of right now I cant think of any. I want to say twisted metal 2 but that might be another demo disc entirely.

There is an Underground disc with an FF7 demo on it. I know because EB gave me a copy for preordering FF7. I must still have it someplace, but I have no idea where it is in the dozens of boxes of stuff. Might not even be here, could be off at the storage locker.

IIRC, the FF7 demo was similar to but slightly different from the one included with Tobal No.1. I don't recall the exact difference, maybe different party members being present?

I recall there being on the disc a feature with bloopers of a Crash Bandicoot TV ad, with some old rich lady from the ad who kept flubbing on the word Bandicoot, saying things like "Mandicoot" over and over again. Other than than I don't recall what else was on the disc.

Just throwing this out there but I can't help remembering that there was a Magic the Gathering game for PS1 and I keep wondering if that might not be it.
