Default Help identifying an arcade beat em up

I need some help trying to identify a beat em up I played at my local arcade in the 90s.

I don't remember much about it but here is what I do remember -

2 player co-op beat em up
Multiple bad guys on screen at once
    Motorbikes
Ability to grab two thugs and bang their heads together
    Cartoonish graphics not digital
    It definitely wasn't Pit Fighter!

Sorry the detail is so vague - any suggestions or screen shots might help jog my memory!

I remember playing something like that on a Neo Geo collection once, or maybe it was Capcom, we may never know.

    Default Sounds like Combatribes

I might be wrong but Combatribes by Technos is very similar to what you are describing.

Combatribes is my guess as well.

Double head-knocking is frequent and plentiful in that one.

If the game is also awful, and makes frequent references to "Ground Zero" (but as a gang, I believe, not a place), then add me to the "it's Combatribes" noise.

Excellent thanks - it was Combatribes!

I have fond memories of playing it when I was younger. Would love to see a port of it on XBLA. I heard the Wii Virtual Console verion isn't very good?

Thanks again to all those who posted - your all genious for working it out from my very vague description!!

There was a SNES version of the game. Not sure if it was any good, but it usually is very cheap. $3-$4

It's probably a port of the SNES version...which is okay I guess. Graphically speaking, it's decent compared to the arcade version, but there's no 3-player option, sections of some stages are missing, not to metion that a whole level is completely missing, there's no blood, I know that there's at least one move missing and blah, blah blah. But, there is a versus mode Get the arcade version on MAME.

Sounded a lot like Two Crude Dudes to me, but I guess it was not. Never played his one.

I spent my fair share of quarters on this one as a kid... Always liked how the clowns looked like the 90s joker to me.
