Hi, does anyone know if original game boy games playon the game boy player?

Hey, I just sent you a message about this very subject! What a coincidence
Most original Game boy games should work, it is just the unauthorized releases I don't know much about.
Hello there!, yes just got your message on ebay regarding game boy games compatiblity with nintndo game boy player, so thought i'd see if anyone knew on here if it would work, the person above seems to think so. Is this where you first saw my listing for mario 4 or was it ebay? Just seen that you was the person who told me abit about the game (mario 4), i reckon it will work but no real way of telling, wish ii knew someone who had a game boy player, i had never heard of it till looking it up just now.
kind regards
Julie

I saw it here first. I figured you had a Game Boy Player to test it with. Oh well, as long as it works with the Game Boy.
I'd never heard of a gameboy player untill you mention thats why i came on here to ask if it would work, wow i want one now they look good. Yes it works great on game boy , game boy color and advance those are the consoles i have tested on. This forum is so good isn't it.
kind regards
Julie
Everything works except for GBA movies and some special carts with tilt, light or other sensors that would break the controls. The emulation used is hardware based, containing a standard Gameboy Advance CPU
My Buy/Sell/Trade list:

Why do people come on here and ask this..
If they don't know..he/she should not be in gaming
How old are you btw??
I've played a few original GB pirate multicarts on the Gameboy Player, and some GBA flashcarts, and never had a problem.

Hi, Thank you for sticking up for me, i have explained to the other member that i am selling the game to someone on Ebay and don't want them to buy it if it doesn't work on their system, i always like to be 100% before selling something, looks as if i will work so thats good.
Thanks again for your kind words.
If it works like a GBA then it probably won't play the Gameboy version of Road Rash. My understanding was this GB game was not GBA compatible and that is my experience when I try and play it on a GBA. I think it crashed right after the title screen but its been a while.
I think the Super Game Boy is superior for playing original Game Boy and Game Boy Color games. The GameCube controller's d pad never felt right to me. It's like it's too small or not precise enough... or something.
SGB does not support GBC games. GBC games with backward compatibility for GB to run in B&W will work on SGB like they would on GB. SGB2 also does not support GBC games.
I wonder why there is dislike for the GC d-pad. That thing feels like the d-pad from a GBC which makes sense if you're playing with your GBP...
