Hey guys, have any of you tested the Everdrive MD on this adapter yet? Theoretically it should work. At which point whoever does it can test any and every SMS and Genesis game.

No. The Mega Everdrive does not work on the RetroGen, and I doubt the lesser version does either. That's not to say its the RetroGen's fault - the Mega Everdrive doesn't work on GOACs in general.

That's sad really
EverDrive N8 for the NES/Famicom works on the Retro Duo
Is the RetroGen missing something to get it working with the Mega EverDrive?
The EverDrive N8 typically works on any NOAC worth a damn, but the Mega EverDrive is much, much more complicated and relies on some of the pins that aren't normally used in Genesis games. It will not work on any clone.
Then buy a repro cart. Short of that, there's no way of playing Rockman MegaWorld or Megaman The Wily Wars on the RetroGen. Even if the RetroGen did support the Mega Everdrive, it still wouldn't help you as Wily Wars is one of the few unsupported games that the Mega Everdrive cannot run.

Often stated but simply untrue.
Granted there is a bad rom floating around out there.
I play Wiley Wars from my Mega Everdrive on my model 1 Sega Genesis all the time without any problem.
I did have to apply the SRAM fix to get save working though.
I thought about getting a repro cart. Problem with those is not all of them support the save feature and few go into enough description to indicate clearly whether they do or not.
Could you perhaps email me the rom you're using? I've tried multiple roms and found none of them to work properly. my email address is satoshimatrix@hotmail.com.
Also, It's Wily Wars, not Wiley Wars. "Wiley" is not the proper spelling.

...centuries later...
Very late to the game on this but have been enjoying the novelty of the retrogen, certainly worse things for 20 dollars. Before anyone tells me to get a real Genesis, I have a few. I'm not a perfectionist and very happy with the video and audio.
Does anyone know of a snes to Genesis controller converter?
Yeah, I have one. Why do you ask?

I didn't see any on eBay. Wasn't sure if such a thing was produced
I am with Calgon on the Retro Gen, I also have multiple Genesis consoles (model 1 & 2) however the novelty level and price point seems about right, and I am also not a perfectionist necessarily, if I wanna pull out the life support rig I can always lug out the Gen + CD + 32X behemoth and get jammin. But if the SNES or Retro Duo V3.0 is hooked up, I'll jam with the Retro Duo if I am hankering for Sega games. I can't really remember any times I experienced any really noticeable glitches or obvious deficiencies, although as stated I am not a perfectionist and to me any video game thats working coupled with a controller in my hand equals a good time.
Here's the games I remember playing on it, all working: (kinda random grip of titles though so might not be significant info for anyone)
Darwin 4081 Japanese MD import
NBA Jam
Steel Empire
Gadget Twins
Atomic Runner
So yeah, overall I am satisfied with the Retro Duo as a kinda cool peripheral with a sorta cool box that looks sorta cool next to or propped up against a non-yellowed SNES.

Nice dude.
I have it through the retro duo 3.0 as well. So far no hiccups. Got used to the snes pad fairly quickly
