Default Best Sega CD titles and Finding Scrath free Sega CD games....

Just picked up a Sega CD, which I have been avoiding because of this:

did anyone take care of sega cd games? I have yet to find a single disc that still looks as if its brand new/taken care of......

also, what are some great titles for the system? Is there a specific model sega cd that works better than the rest?

The Sega CD model 2 is the best for playing, but all versions have issues with some games. BTW Gamedude normally has near mint Sega CD games and I have gone there in person for 10 years, http://gamedude.com/ they won't even buy a scratched CD but you have to call them to order or go to there store.
Edit: I would recommend having a model 1 and either a Model 2, CDX or other version.

My favorite model is the X'Eye. The CDX has the weakest audio and video signal, the model 1 has reliability issues, and my model 2 doesn't work with The Terminator.
