    Default Quick vecterman 2 question?!?

Hey for any one that owns this cart can you please tell me if the board appears to be missing contacts?
I came across a copy and peeked at the contacts and noticed a bunch missing. Any chance this game just came like that?

Oh! Btw....I may as well ask while im at it, Is it a good game?

My copy of Vectorman 2 has all the edge pin contacts. I know that there are some Genesis carts that are purposely missing some edge contacts, but not this game as far as I can see. Maybe they had different revisions of the PCB for Vectorman 2?

The game itself is awesome if you liked the original Vectorman. I highly recommend both games.

Ok I'm thinking it was a messed up cart because it's not the edge ones but quite a few near the middle.

Btw... Thanks for the quick response!

That's actually quite common. In fact, my copy of Sonic 3D Blast is missing several pins near the center.

I would guess the Majesco manufactured version removed those pins from the board to cut manufacturing costs (assuming the original version did indeed have them all).

Didn't a few NES games do this? I seem to think Super Mario Bros 2...

Yeah it's a Majesco re-release. Late in the Genesis' life Majesco got the license to release a bunch of titles for the North American market. The games are identical but the boards are missing the unused contacts. It likely also has a little sticker on the back that says Made in Mexico.

Definitely spot on about it being a re-release. Also they were all made in Mexico with crappy cardboard boxes and usually cheap black and white instruction manuals.
