Default Games like Adventure for the 2600

Hi everyone, I've been looking for an answer to this question and haven't been able to find a very good one.

Anyway, so I'm looking for games like Adventure for the Atari 2600. I'm looking for games on any of the older consoles so Intellivision, Colecovision, 2600, 5200, 7800 and even the Studio II, Arcadia or Astrocade. To clarify I'm trying to find games that would have influenced the RPG genre back in their day. Games that have RPG elements and focus highly on a lot of exploring.

The following are examples of what I mean:
    Advanced Dungeons & Dragons (INTV)
Advanced Dungeons & Dragons: Treasures of Tarmin (INTV)
    Dragonstomper (2600)
Raiders of the Lost Ark (2600)
    Gateway to Asphai (Coleco)

Any other suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

Haunted House on the Atari had a lot in common with Adventure.

Swords & Serpents on Intellivision was a brilliant 2 player top down action RPG that feels like a pre-cursor to Zelda

Venture was more of an arcade action title, but here you can also see elements that inspired the top down action RPG genre

Tower of Doom was a rogue-like on Intellivision that had some things in common with Gateway to Asphai

The only one I can think of is the Swordquest series. I would imagine the games with the most influence on the RPG genre would have been on computer.

Crown Quest for C64 was based heavily on Adventure.

Thanks for the responses, I'll have to look into all of the games posted so far.

    E.T.

It might not have been executed as well, but it has the same object-hunting exploration concept.

Heh, I guess that is true about ET. I also found, I guess the only game like this on the Odyssey 2, Quest for the Rings.

Anyone familiar enough with the libraries of the 5200, 7800, Arcadia, Studio II or Astrocade to know if there's anything even close to this on these systems? If not I'll be pretty tempted to just get rid of these consoles as there wouldn't really be much that I'd enjoy on these.

You may want to check Midnight Mutants on 7800? It's a bit closer to Zelda, but even so.

Adventure II for 5200 is a given :P

Secret Quest on the Atari 2600 is a very late release (1989) that is the closest to Zelda you will get on a 2600.

There is Dark Chambers on the Atari 7800. It's basically Gauntlet, but had some really cool ideas. Some of the stronger enemies as they get weaker turn into other enemies. An interesting concept...

There is also a 2600 version as well.
If a god is willing to prevent evil, but not able, then he is not omnipotent. If he is able, but not willing, then he must be malevolent. If he is both willing and able, then why is there evil? If he is neither able or willing then why call him a god?
